Gunnery Sgt. Justin Smith, from Cape Code, Ma., and platoon sergeant for 3rd platoon, Company C, 2nd Amphibian Assault Battalion, 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force, Staff Sgt. Deryck Smith, from Jacksonville, Fla. and substance abuse control officer for Headquarters and Support Company, 2nd Tank Battalion, 2nd MEF, and Staff Sgt. Jonathan Novak, from Villa Park, Ill., and section leader for 3rd platoon, Company C, 2nd AA Bn., 2nd MEF, reenlist at the construction site of the Freedom Town in lower Manhattan, May 22. Lt. Gen. Richard F. Natonski, commander for U.S. Marine Corps Forces Command, reenlisted the Marines during Fleet Week 2009.
